The "Time Machine"
Re-Enacted Medieval Tallinn
|
Back to the Medieval Age!
You have been traveling to many places and seen many
different people. But just when you thought
you have done it all, you realize that there is one thing
that you have never dared to do: Travel in
Time! The Nature and Archaeology Cycling Company (NACC) is
proud to present you its latest
grandiose achievement: A Time Machine!
Let us take you for
two days of complete immersion into
medieval times, taste the food, hear the music, stroll in
the tiny streets, enter the houses and meet
those proud medieval merchants, knights and monks that will
intimately share their stories with
you. The city of Tallinn is our setting for this Time
Machine. Tallinn is the northernmost medieval
city and one of the new capitals of the European Union. It
has international flights and an express
boat shuttle to Helsinki. The Old City has survived many
wars, conquests and plunders and its
medieval splendor remains nevertheless intact. Encircled in
its fortified walls, the Old Tallinn has
30 km of pedestrian streets bordered by medieval houses,
churches and monasteries. The visitor
finds himself in one of the former outposts of the Soviet
Union, at the crossroad where the East
meets the West and where Scandinavian, German, Russian and
Eastern European cultures have
flourished side by side in the most impressive natural
settings. The experience NACC offers in
Tallinn is unique has it blends the discovery of the Old
City with a unique and exciting plunge in
what life used to be in medieval times, its splendor,
spirituality, mysteries and debauchery. So let
us take you for a tour in our Time Machine! |
